How To Care For My Filter

Bagless Vacuum Cleaners

If you have a bagless vacuum cleaner you would need to put more attention on the state of your filter than on a bag vacuum cleaner.

Ideally a bagless filter should be cleaned after every vacuuming.

The best way to clean the filter is by taking it out of the vacuum cleaner and tapping it on a solid surface to release dirt that is stuck inside the grooves of the filter.

If you have an air compressor you can clean the filter with air.

Some filters can be washed in worm soapy water. You should do that no more than once a month as washing your filter will effect its performance. Note, if your filter is made of a soft paper material do not wash it, washing may damage it.

If you washed your filter allow at least 2-3 days for the filter to dry before inserting it into your vacuum cleaner. make sure the filter is 110% dry before putting it back into your vacuum cleaner.

Bag Vacuum Cleaners

Caring for your bag vacuum cleaner is easy. replace the pre motor filter every 3 to 6 moths and replace the exhaust filter every year or 50 hours of use.
